Whose America?

I want to compare American flavor with Jamies America.

Jamie starts off with a slider. The first time I heard of sliders was at a grill. This book is not about classic American food. In recipes he replaces mayo with yogurt in waldorf salad. You can see this inclination towards reduced fat in his NYC Cheesecake with reduced-fat cream cheese.

A while ago when I went visiting relatives, I saw that my relative cut a log into small pieces into puri. I have never seen that done before. I have always seen people approximately pull out some dough and shape into a ball between the palms and press it.

American flavor
