Today on Adam's show at Round Rock Donut place in Texas, he used a donut cutter like the trundle used to exercise by rolling it forward and back

And meringue making is merry. Flour is used in making the custard.  all purpose flour plays the corn starch  role of thickening the custard. I used  Parle G  instead of vanilla wafers.

I was thinking about  how water drops evaporate  and came across  Leidenfrost effect . A line in that article about dipping wet hands into molten lead made me ask if this is the effect that lets some people dip into boiling vat of oil for picking out pakoras with bare hands  .  Sure enough
