Baci di Dama

Baci di Dama (pronounced Bacay dee damah )which translates to Dames Kisses or Ladies' Kisses, are Handmade Italian Chocolate Hazelnut sandwiches taste great with the crusty/ short bready (crumbling) exterior and chocolate layer spread in between. You will not stop at one. Once you are over the high of the texture, you realize tiny pieces of hazelnut too. Novel.   David Lebovitz baci di dama cookies recipe  has the same shape as the ones in the box. so you can satisfy that curiousity of how they were made and enjoy them even more.

Classic Cookies with Modern Twists

Foodprintstyle Washboard cookies Not so washboard cookies. I didnt give them the tine treatment. While dipping the cookies in coconut, I though why not Chia seeds, and thats how we have those dots on the cookies. The recipe in the book is slightly different from the link here as it has coconut-lime twist. I love the cover of the 'Classic Cookies with Modern twist' book by ellen Jackson and the pictures too. Wish there were pictures for every recipe like the other reviewers felt too. Lack of some pictures was glaring, because its not like there are no pages. Each recipe takes two to three pages and it seemed like the recipe you liked wasnt matching the picture because it never made it into the book. The smaller size of the book makes it, easy to tackle. I tried the washboard cookies. Liked the flavour and texture. My little one too got involved in mixing and rolling them out onto the cookie sheet. Next up might be snickerdoodles. I have had them as a signature desser...

Melting Moments

I made Melting Moments from  Complete childrens cookbook . They turned thin, spread out than in the book. A close, double proportion recipe is this  Melting Moments  recipe. Like in this recipe, if the DK book went with 8 tbsp instead of 12 tbsp of butter, then probably the cookies would have turned out as intended. Maybe using, muffin pans might correct the problem a bit, by not letting them thin out so much. Cornstarch is the magic. Needs no eggs. Chocolate sauce made melting 3.5 oz chocolate with 2tbsp cream was the filling for the melting moments made with cocoa powder mixed into the batter. I want to make these  rice flour jam cookies  and  Melting moments eggless cookies  with cornflour.

Itty Bitty Carrot cake cookies

Itty Bitty Carrot Cake cookies Its so refreshing to add freshly grated carrot. More on the healthy side.

Taste peaks

The first bite was honey sweet, then granola wave then a recall of ohoy's chocolate chip cookies without the chocolate chips. For all the healthy attire, the thins have taste. The fig tinies can get sticky. I do not like the fig crisps of Newtons but I liked this. But the price, for the new fangled fig looking packaging is unbelievable. I did rather buy dried figs from Sprouts and feel lot more healthy and righteous.

Cookies and Crack

My friend made these amazing looking and well packed  Saltine Toffee  and  Orange sugar tea cookies
