Peach and orange Cake

What makes food interesting? Not just the taste,  arrangement  but the story of how it comes to be that you make this something unhad before. Its whats in your pantry, what you are celebrating and so on.. My sister likes fruit cake. There's no butter in the fridge. We are celebrating her birthday. I liked a fruity bundt cake, after much searching and a liking for this  peach cake , I decided to go with  Basic Yellow cake without butter  and place peaches on top. The peaches went for a dive. Pumpkin Sheet Cake

Pumpkin sheet cake during the 'stick a knife and call me done' test, I could tell that the cake was like a spongy mattress, which the way, the tooth pick recoiled. Cake eaters liked it too.

October butternut cake

October butternut cake  tasted a bit - airy like corn bread. Skipped the frosting and used melted chocolate and served it with frozen custard.

Duncan Hines Pink Velvet Buttery Vanilla Flavor cake

The mix looks creamish white, but once you start adding butter, you see the pink colour start to show. The cupcakes are pillows of air.

Father's day cake

The  tie-dye number surprise cake was stirring in my head. So I made the not so red olive oil cake first in a loaf pan. How I hate loaf pans. Even after 40 min there was some wet batter here and there. Quinoa chocolate cake

For a friends birthday I decided to make a cake from one of the recipes she forwarded for  Quinoa chocolate cake . It called for zucchini. But I dont have them. Instead I used Butternut Squash . And why not, look at this butternut squash cake profile .

Eggless Vanilla Cake The cake really bakes like the recipe says. The cake does leave the sides of the pan. Return favor for mattis.

Safeway eats

safeway $5 friday I bought chicken wings from the Signature Cafe today. I was amazed to find that the chicken wings were so soft. I looked at the lid which says ;tender chicken wings'. Tender and more. A long time ago I had chicken which had been tenderised with a liquid tenderiser. A layered Neapolitan bar cake  with pink rosettes and a pink, white, cake layer. Its too sweet, full of frosting not my favourite but sill had to like it for its modern art minimalistic not in contents bit arrangement, the cleanliness of the corners, sharp like a knife itself. Brakes monotony without being garrulous.
