Asian Flo

Read an article on  Asian Flo  and tried it. Lettuce Wraps - neatly. the crunch of the lettuce and the munch of the chicken, always a treat. Ordered first shrimp dish in a restaurant. Shrimp Pad thai. Surprisingly it came with brown rice too. Spicy asian peanut Chicken slightly overpowering sauce. Triple mousse. Super. When you eat a wonderful dessert, then you think of it is legal or ok to order another of the dessert you just had, even if for to go. Ooh.. the crucnh of the banana spring rolls even if it is not hard to imagine what its all about.

Buffet at Chennai Fusion Grill

Interesting Dishes: Manchurian with chestnut Beetroot Halwa - Granted it fails in masking the vegetable taste for those who dont like healthy food. But I like it that they tried. Jalebi pieces in ras Another sweet that had  the consistency of oil mixed with brown sugar. The aloo tikki in the photo was least liked by me. Unauthentic and hate the breaded outer thing.

Lahoris dhaba

Lahoris dhaba We had Samosa, Chicken Biryani, Chicken Paratha roll and Peshawari Namkeen Karahi. Samosa in the picture looked ethereal, but what was on our plate was ok. Chicken Biryani is impressive in taste and quantity. Spicy. Chicken Paratha roll had mint and mirchi chutney, with all its concomitant kick of spice. The owner said that Peshawari Namkeen Karahi is a traditional dish for which people travel from Tucson. He also said that some of his customers think that in the future, he will be exclusively selling that dish. In reference with this dish he referred to  Namak Mandi  or salt market.

Passion Food

I have read many books about restaurants but never of any by a married couple. This book starts from the idea of starting a restaurant to actually get it thriving. Reading of the Pizzeria Bianco, I could imagine the who scene, having been there in the waiting line for too long. Like the author says, their daily diet of Pizza might be a kids dream but the work they had to do for it isnt envious. Its a humorous look at the whole, coming up with ideas and going on the wild goose chase they take you on.

Tomatoes, Lemons and Onions

We had food at  Chutneys . Earlier it used to be a place called Pasand. I had been there twice. Come to think of it, new restaurants in the times of recession, start at old restaurants. Wen you walk in, you can see the lustre of the new fabric of the booths. A friend noted tat the bubbles theme is soothing. We decided upon rotis each to their own, Chicken tikka masala, Lamb keema and egg biryani. I wanted to try the chicken  Vindaloo  but then again the thought of Vinegar made me say no. Trying a new thing is always like being in a see saw. Just when the order was to be finalised, I said  Idli manchurian . I just caught it from my husband's utterances while browsing through the menu. When the Idli manchurian arrived, I liked the uniform chunky look of the idlis. Manchurian it was to the core. while eating it we came up with  aloo manchurian . When the Aloo Paratha and garlic naan arrived, I did some barter and had the gaarlic(sic) naan. The naan was a pie...
