Hunt's Chili kit



The only Chili I have ever had is at Phantom Ranch.
This Hunt's Chili kit had cans of sauce, diced tomatoes and kidney beans and a sachet of chili seasoning. I added Costco rotisserie chicken and that cut down the time of this Chili to 10 min. The tomatoes are not too saucy or overpowering. The seasoning is spicy without being hot.

Banana pudding

I went over the roasted banana pudding recipe from yesterday and found it too consuming (shopping time, dishes, baking time), I finally decided on  caramelized banana pudding . And meringue making is merry. Flour is used in making the custard.  all purpose flour plays the corn starch  role of thickening the custard. I used  Parle G  instead of vanilla wafers.

Streit's Potato Pancake Mix

In went some Indian spices - Cumin, Dhanajiru powder, pepper and salt. Had it with green mirchi chutney and dahi. Tasted like vada. Vegeterian Kishke  can be made with carrots and celery added to the potato pancake mix.
