mugcake

I had cinnamon sticks from Pizza Hut yesterday. Without counting, I had three. the cinnamon and sugar on the crust make you go for another doughy bite.
With Garlic sauce and pepper flakes and some left over pasta that I thought I had done away with months ago, I made a fired up pasta. had to add some soy nuggets and coconut flakes to tone down the spice. Tortilla crusted Tilapia turned out to be good on the side with the spicy pasta.

From Desir bakery, I had  a huge cupcake or mugcake shall I say. It was so light and airy that with each bite I felt like I was having negative calorie food and feel more hungry for the next bite. Also it felt like I could fly eating that. And then a coffee cake inside  a pastry.

Egg Malai Masala

  Egg Malai Masala  Its fun when things turn out as they should. I pureed the onions and then cooked them well. I added the milk for the egg Malai Masala and made chicken curry with other half of the onion base. I used kasoori methi in both. Many times I have felt the onions grainy, but this time I got it right. Patience.

Cuban Bread

So you should already know the sweet and breadrolls book if you have already read of the popovers. I have planned on making bread for a long time. A detour of popovers and finally I'm aqui. From the same book, I tried this Cuban bread and enjoyed making the slits in the bread. Like a surgeon. I still have to get the proofing right. The actual recipe reading takes place in real time. I was reading about the bread on the web and when I came across the lines about how it is different from a French bread in that it is left to rise after shaping the loaf, I was worried that my Cuban bread would lose its nationality.
