Sakura Arare



Sakura Arare Rice crackers are shaped in the form of cherry blossom flowers and sprinkled with nori sea weed. These are no plain Jane rice crackers. They have a nice soy flavour. I like to savor the sauce a bit before biting into them. It seems they can be had mixed in with popcorn too but if the sauce ratio to whole snack is too much for you.

Banana pudding

I went over the roasted banana pudding recipe from yesterday and found it too consuming (shopping time, dishes, baking time), I finally decided on  caramelized banana pudding . And meringue making is merry. Flour is used in making the custard.  all purpose flour plays the corn starch  role of thickening the custard. I used  Parle G  instead of vanilla wafers.

Streit's Potato Pancake Mix

In went some Indian spices - Cumin, Dhanajiru powder, pepper and salt. Had it with green mirchi chutney and dahi. Tasted like vada. Vegeterian Kishke  can be made with carrots and celery added to the potato pancake mix.
