How to prevent handle from giving in? Dont have one.

The metal colander I had, with one side long handle gave in. #1 Best Silicone Collapsible Colander Food Strainer has extended silicone with raised dots for a non-slip grip. For collapsing the colander, the base is sturdy and can be pressed down to get flat. If not using an extra plate to collect the drained water (then handles are not an issue), straining cooked rice or pasta is a two person affair. With two sides to catch, the handles on this will never break and make it easy to balance the hot food while it collects in the sieve. The medium size is convenient when you decide to do the straining by divide and rule.
