Orange Croissant pudding

We had to celebrate a birthday suddenly. I had croissants and orange juice. So I tried making something out of it based on Carrot Croissant pudding.

2 cups of orange juice.
2 eggs.
A packet of Butternut Squash of Green giant veggie blend ins
A mashed ripe banana
3 Costco croissants cut into pieces.
some sugar to taste (as the juice already has some sugar in it.)

In the oven at 350F for 30 min (just the right time for the cake to be picked up).
This has a tangy taste. And goes well with ice cream. My sister thought it felt like Double ka meetha, a bread pudding.

Alternately if you have marmalade, and can/will use heavy cream, then you can follow Sweet Orange Croissant pudding recipe.

In a House Warming scavenger hunt game, the clue was 'a cup, tsp, tbsp can be found here'. we forgot that it had to be something that fits in a plastic cover. And looked to cabinets. the answer was 'recipe book'. Duh!

Essay to movie night

I was reading A merging of head and heart  by Judith Dancoff  and came across Barefoot in the Park .  I started watching the movie and not so soon the characters had knichi and pelminchki. They have to be  part of Albanian cuisine  but are more fictional. May be ouzo is bozo. I have always liked the idea of making up food for pages. Knichi is supposed to be popped in and not nibbled. Do you know of foods that need to be had in certain ways to taste good? As the movie progressed, my taste buds recalled the Bhelpuri  in the kitchen.
