Tameloritz

A friend brought this Tameloritz, Albanian rice pudding, while returning the box which had gone with jalebis in it, his way.
I was amazed at the rabri or rasmalai kind of consistency of the cream in the rice pudding.
Albanians too like Indians, do no return anything empty.

Banana pudding

I went over the roasted banana pudding recipe from yesterday and found it too consuming (shopping time, dishes, baking time), I finally decided on  caramelized banana pudding . And meringue making is merry. Flour is used in making the custard.  all purpose flour plays the corn starch  role of thickening the custard. I used  Parle G  instead of vanilla wafers.

Streit's Potato Pancake Mix

In went some Indian spices - Cumin, Dhanajiru powder, pepper and salt. Had it with green mirchi chutney and dahi. Tasted like vada. Vegeterian Kishke  can be made with carrots and celery added to the potato pancake mix.
