Mirepoix

I have liked the pseudo Mirepoix of onions and carrots before. With Celery in the fridge and as much peanut dipping I could take with celery sticks, I hacked at the celery into the real mirepoix of the trinity. With some chicken and lemon pepper to go along.
It tastes amazing. The celery cooked down like cabbage. When I have patience to cut it, I am gonna ad it in all curries. Negative calories.

Banana pudding

I went over the roasted banana pudding recipe from yesterday and found it too consuming (shopping time, dishes, baking time), I finally decided on  caramelized banana pudding . And meringue making is merry. Flour is used in making the custard.  all purpose flour plays the corn starch  role of thickening the custard. I used  Parle G  instead of vanilla wafers.

Streit's Potato Pancake Mix

In went some Indian spices - Cumin, Dhanajiru powder, pepper and salt. Had it with green mirchi chutney and dahi. Tasted like vada. Vegeterian Kishke  can be made with carrots and celery added to the potato pancake mix.
