Bell pepper with Kale

1/2 onion 1 red bell pepper 1 green bell pepper 2 bunches of Kale lemon pepper Having just made Bell pepper with black beans , I had to use bell pepper in a non- conspicuous way. It doesnt end with this recipe as there are more bell peppers to be used. First cook the bell peppers till they soften and then add Kale. Now the bell pepper tastes more like egg plant.

BonJour 16 piece Dinnerware Fruitful Nectar Porcelain set

The dining set has a very pleasant color. The bowls seems smaller in the picture but they are bigger. The floral and humming bird motifs present in the small plates make them ideal even for hanging them or placing them as curios. The absence of any designs on the bigger plate with just a band of color around the rim of the plate is a very good contrast. You will imagine the plate with the motifs and then go back to how it is as it would overdo the print. Makes a very good set for gifting.

Bell pepper with black beans

I was making bell pepper curry. I didnt have the patience to soak tamarind in water. Then I thought about the lemon pepper. In it went. Next to the lemon pepper container, was a can of black chili beans. By proximity, black beans made its way into the curry. Sometimes lentils and beans are added to green leafy vegetables curry for comic relief. For exa, soaked chana dal in spinach curry. beans or garlic cloves in gongura.

Marie Callender's Easy sides Chicken Flavored Fettucini

The style of preparing the dish in the microwave like the noodles is neat. The noodles get cooked well. If there is any chicken flavour it is mild.

Miso Soup

Ideal for cold where you just heat water and add the paste to get a Simple, non- creamy Miso soup for the days you need something hot to clear up your head. The soup bits have  a surprise. When you eat the kelp/sea weed you wonder where was this sheet of it when you dropped the dried bits into the soup.

Mothers Day cake

Beattys chocolate cake  is very porous and reminds me of the first cake I had in US at ASU's welcome party.  Laura  has identified that reducing the leavening does not let the cake sink. I keep promising myself that I wont make a cake that calls for boiled water or coffee but end up making it in a rush to make a deadline cake. I was very taken by  Bienmesabe cake .  Bienmesabe is very similar to  Badam ki jaali which is made from almonds.

Cherry Cider

Who knew that Cherry Cider could help with gout. If you know not what Gout is, read the dialogue Between Franklin and Gout . The cherry Cider tastes likes te maraschino cherries with their artificial flavour on the cakes. Or is it Amaretti?

Gale Gand's Lunch

Roasted Rosemary Cashews is all about why we cook. Cashews taste rich and sweet as they are. Roasted even better. I know cashews either cooked in kaju katli, pulav, kheer, good day biscuits, mixture but with rosemary is definitely an imagination trip. Watermelon with Lemon Pepper

When I saw my husband sprinkling Lemon Pepper on  watermelon cubes, I knew he was on to something in the lines of Fruit Chaat . A bite of the fruit with the spice makes it clear why somebody had come up with the coombination. I asked my husband about how he cam eupon this idea. he said he was looking for salt and then he thought about lemon pepper. Interesting things happen when you are cooking. Cooking has a routine. while fulfilling that rutine of adding things to the pot, you cupboard is bared to you with all the things that could go into the pot and make it one thing as well as another with that possibility constantly changing until you call it the end and switch off the stove.

Mirepoix

I have liked the pseudo Mirepoix of onions and carrots before. With Celery in the fridge and as much peanut dipping I could take with celery sticks, I hacked at the celery into the real mirepoix of the trinity. With some chicken and lemon pepper to go along. It tastes amazing. The celery cooked down like cabbage. When I have patience to cut it, I am gonna ad it in all curries. Negative calories.
