Roasted Jalapeno and Thai Sweet chili protein bars from Strong & KIND put the savoury back into snacks.

Roasted Jalapeno Almond bar is a double bed of almonds with hot jalapenos. It reminded me of Borugula vadiyalu. (The ones I'm thinking of are made with cooked rice. as a kid, I didnt like them because of the chili taste, but I bet I will love them now.)
Thai Sweet Chili seems less spicy in the beginning, but the spice stacks up as you eat.

Had these bars at a well expo. It was a Eat one. KIND one. So I get to eat one and share it with another kind person.

Banana pudding

I went over the roasted banana pudding recipe from yesterday and found it too consuming (shopping time, dishes, baking time), I finally decided on caramelized banana pudding . And meringue making is merry. Flour is used in making the custard. all purpose flour plays the corn starch role of thickening the custard. I used Parle G instead of vanilla wafers.

Cooking for engineers Tasso Ham . When I read that Tasso is also the name of an Italian poet, I wanted to point to his work too. I looked for it but found it in prehistoric language. It so happens that I am reading poems about horses and recognised Tasso's name beneath his poem translated. Second paragraph has life infused in it with equine motions. Another poem that I like in this collection is 'New Foal' by Ted Hughes.
