When there's time in the morning, I like to make Indian breakfast. In the last couple of days, I have exhausted all the upma, poha, susheela options. Semiya upma is my daughter's favourite, so that is for weekends. Remaining is cracked wheat. While tossing ideas of how to cook it, I thought about making it the khichdi way.
1 and 1/2 cup cracked wheat #2
1 cup moong dal
handful of french beans
ginger garlic paste
1/3 of chopped onion
cumin seeds
salt
green chillies
I was very glad when after 3 whistles in the pressure cooker, it didnt turn out mushy.
