Gongura royyalu curry

Yesterday we had impromptu dinner at neighbours. They made Gongura royyalu koora, whic I have never had before. The sorrel leaves were form heir gardener, but the host told us before hand that they didnt have the tang. For that and growing wild reason, they are now banned from their garden. They used Costco shrimp with tails cut off.
Talking about garden growing wild, a colleague told me about how you have to watch the bamboo rhizome or it will go out of control. Here I'm thinking, why dont the indoor bamboo have some of that vigor and stick it out another round.
