Stans Chutney Sandwiches

even though I have made chutney sometimes. Each person seems to have their twist. A friend adds yogurt, another adds coconut.
This is Stan's recipe -
I use coriander leaves (cilantro), green chilies, a significant amount of fresh coconut pieces (you can use the frozen coconut, but it has to be “fresh”), mint leaves and a small piece of ginger.  I grind this with the tamarind water to give the “katta” or sour taste needed.  Of course salt to taste and maybe a small spoon of sugar for sweetness.
