Recently when my husband was going through safeway deals, he asked me what 'cling peaches' were. I ignored the cling part. Today reading of   clingstone  peaches in  Alaskan travels , it all figured.

I finally made  Deviled eggs . I added garlic spread from Safeway. To get the shine, I added water. some black pepper for taste and some red chilli powder as garnish. We had a potluck and my guests were super gracious and brought all the main dishes. I had time to spare for deviled eggs, shape shifting aloo tikkis,  cookie cups . A guest brought a tray of cinnamon rolls from  Upper crust bakery . They are tiny and tasty.

My friend forwarded  Zucchini rice gratin  recipe The good thing about recipes from friends is that they come with dos and donts like this one came with the 'Dont slice the Zucchini too thin or it will burn'. She had also sent a picture of the dish with the bright red tomatoes on top. For a while now, I have been wanting to cook Squash. After seeing dozens of squash soups and other recipes, I had few waiting for the great inspiration which happens to be substituting Zucchini in the Rice Gratin. If I hadnt added my personal touch of burning the garlic, it would have not added to the bitterness of squash which bothered my husband more. As the maker, I had to shut up and just eat. I could claim that my attention was split with  split my bill  or baby's wails but I cant kid - I was lazing on the couch, letting the fire do its magic and only when my nose figured some burnt .. oh onions.. I knew I messed up.

Walmart has a  Strawberries N Cream Ice Cream Cake . I do not know how it tastes. But I know it looks like Safeway's Strawberry Swirl ice cream cake which has a white cake base topped with icecream between layers of original strawberry sauce with a thick band of whipped cream on top.

Today my colleague gave me a  cinnamon muffin . She had taken it thinking it was a chocolate muffin. cinnamon is added so unthinkingly into so many things that just cinnamon as the flavour stumped me. Its a muffin with a league of its own.
