Banana rolls

You might have noticed the big hiatus in my baking like the end of this probably Ted Hughes poem where a room full of toys strewn here and there is about a deserted place.

Recently we had a spate of bananas. Didnt want to make banana bread and made somethign referred to as kela rabri without realising it. Made it with boiled milk, condended milk, ripe bananas and bonus coconut. Still there were more ripe bananas to use. Having found this banana roll recipe and confirming that we have yeast. I jumped into the preparation and was happy with the yeast doing its job. Later as we revise notes, I was going through the recipe and forgot that milk and butter went into it. Still it turned out great. I am happy to have broken the quiet spell of baking.

I know of a recipe with soaked split chickpea and onion curry (diced onions, but now I am thinking another recipe would be to give the special treatment to onions with a blend and then fried well - elevates any main ingredient even simple one like soaked split chickpea. oh no, now reimaging all the great food could have been if done well - thinking chole curry -- its like once you know a mistake and have tons and tons of papers, to go back and correct). In some months, when for religious reasons, people dont eat onion, t...
