Interesting Dishes:

Manchurian with chestnut
Beetroot Halwa - Granted it fails in masking the vegetable taste for those who dont like healthy food. But I like it that they tried.
Jalebi pieces in ras
Another sweet that had  the consistency of oil mixed with brown sugar.


The aloo tikki in the photo was least liked by me. Unauthentic and hate the breaded outer thing.

Banana pudding

I went over the roasted banana pudding recipe from yesterday and found it too consuming (shopping time, dishes, baking time), I finally decided on  caramelized banana pudding . And meringue making is merry. Flour is used in making the custard.  all purpose flour plays the corn starch  role of thickening the custard. I used  Parle G  instead of vanilla wafers.

Streit's Potato Pancake Mix

In went some Indian spices - Cumin, Dhanajiru powder, pepper and salt. Had it with green mirchi chutney and dahi. Tasted like vada. Vegeterian Kishke  can be made with carrots and celery added to the potato pancake mix.
