Breaking misconception

On a recent vacation, I realised that for Hyderabadis, chicken Biryani is a quintessential lunch provided to guests. In each house, I have been finding about the recipes. One bakes, another cooks on the stove top.
I followed a mishmash of recipes and each time its turning out different. For friday night, I made Orange BBQ Drumsticks and Hot and Chili Chicken. They turned out good. 450F did it. when I opened the oven, I smelt the doneness. And me thought that chicken wings are fried.
I like the spin of using marmalade fo the citrus flavors, I never questioned in what form the orange is used when paired with chicken.
One bungling I did, made the drumsticks more spicy. I used 2tbsps of chili powder for 5 while it was for 8. This incosistent cutting down of the recipe gets me. Last time I made cookies I halved a 2 1/4 cup flour to 1 cup, as a result, the cookies got very brotherly and ran all over the pan.

I saw this split chickpea addition to it and wondered why I didnt think of it before. I know of a recipe with soaked split chickpea and onion curry (diced onions, but now I am thinking another recipe would be to give the special treatment to onions with a blend and then fried well - elevates any main ingredient even simple one like soaked split chickpea. oh no, now reimaging all the great food could have been if done well - thinking chole curry -- its like once you know a mistake and have tons and tons of papers, to go back and correct). In some months, when for religious reasons, people dont eat onion, t...
